Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has confirmed that defender John Stones will not feature in his side’s Premier League derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Guardiola stated this on Friday during his pre-match press conference ahead of Man United’s tie with Man City.

Stones missed Man City’s Carabao Cup 2-0 defeat to Southampton on Wednesday due to injury.

The England international will not be fit enough to return to face the Red Devils this weekend.

“Stones is not ready,” Guardiola said. “I think everyone else is fit.”

The kick-off time for the match is 1:30 pm Nigerian time.
