Former Aston Villa striker, Gabby Agbonlahor, has urged Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong not to join Manchester United but instead sign for Chelsea this summer.
Agbonlahor believes Man United have problems that will take them a while to win the Champions League or the Premier League.
De Jong has been linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer.
The likes of Man United and Chelsea are keen to sign the Dutch midfielder this summer.
“De Jong, if he’s leaving Barcelona, he doesn’t want to go to Manchester United. There are quotes that have come out that he would rather Bayern Munich, he would rather Chelsea,” Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT Breakfast.
“Because if I am choosing a team in the Premier League and I have got the chance of Chelsea or Manchester United, I am choosing Chelsea.”
Agbonlahor added: “They have got problems and it is going to take them a while to get a chance of winning the Premier League or the Champions League.
“Does De Jong want to go from Barcelona, who will be playing Champions League football, to Manchester United, who are not going to be?”
