Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are through to the final of the WAFU B U-17 Championship after rallying back from a goal down to beat Cote d’ivoire 3-1 in their semi-final clash at the Cape Coast Stadium on Tuesday.

The Golden Eaglets also booked a spot at the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations following the win.

The Ivorians took the lead from the penalty spot in the second minute.

The Eaglets fought their way back with Emmanuel Michael netting the equaliser from a free-kick on the half hour mark.

Nduka Ugbade’s boys took the lead for the first time in the game two minutes before the break through another free-kick converted by Michael.

They then put the game beyond the Ivorians a minute after the hour mark when Abdullahi Abubakar Idris nodded home from a free-kick.

Cote d’Ivoire were reduced to 10 men in the 64th minute when Makhete Moustapha N’diaye was sent off for a poor tackle.

The Golden Eaglets will face the winner of the second semi-final between hosts Ghana and Burkina Faso in the final at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.
